![]() Chris Lee grew up in Auburn, Michigan, which is a small town located between Midland and Bay City. Now residing on Sanford Lake located just outside of Midland with his family consisting of wife, Kim and 4 children. The two oldest are Zach, 16, and Lindsay, 15. The two younger children are Taylor, 6 and Peyton, 3. Chris started working as a DJ in 1983 on a small radio station, WCHW 91.3 FM. His DJ career had a brief interruption when he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1986 and served our country until 1991 while also attending college pursuing a degree in Business. During that time he resided in several different states including Texas, Illinois, and Southern California which exposed him to several different styles of music. Upon returning to Michigan in 1991 and restarting his entertainment career he continued business college and also began working fulltime for the Dow Chemical Company. Chris was the sole entertainer at the company he officially started in 1997 called "Flipside Entertainment". Flipside Entertainment is now a multi unit operation and is continually growing. Chris moved to all computer based systems in 2001 and now produces fully interactive events which also feature large digital audio, video, and karaoke systems including multiple giant screens, staging, and full DMX light shows. Chris is a firm believer in networking and has attended several disc jockey conferences in Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, and Niagra Falls. Along with the entire Michigan Chapter of the ADJA board, Chris will work hard not only to attract more members but also believes in making monthly meetings more than just meetings. Exciting content and quality will remain a constant focus while he serves the board. Chris highly values membership input and representation. Raising industry standards, customer perception and education are also long standing goals. |

Treasurer: Greg Chahil |
![]() Greg Chahil was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in the suburban Dearborn/Downriver area. He is married and has 2 grown daughters and is the owner of Celebrity Sound & Lighting which was started in 1994. Greg had a love of music at an early age. He started out with a cheap toy drum set at the age of approximately 6 years old. Before that he would grab anything that resembled a drum stick to bang on furniture to whatever music happened to be playing around the house. He also played instruments in the elementary school band. Later his parents bought him a real drum set and in junior high he had a basement band with a couple of the neighborhood kids. In his later teenage years he lost interest in playing instruments for a while but still loved music. In the early 1990’s he started doing some limo driving for a company on weekends. His interpersonal skills made it easy to get along with a variety of people. Occasionally a bride and groom would invite him to come to their reception when he was done with his limo runs. It was during these times that he sat back and noticed some of the “not very good” DJs that some of these people had hired. He remembers one night in particular that a groom sat next to him commenting how he really got ripped off on his entertainment. That’s when he decided to investigate the disc jockey business. After doing a lot of research he found out that he had what it takes to be a serious DJ/MC. Greg feels that it is extremely important for any DJ to have the ability to do more than “just play music”. He feels planning and co-ordination of the event is an essential part of what any entertainment service should offer and he caters to clients who expect more than the average. He is happy to belong to an association that promotes true professionalism! |
Membership Director: Jack Brown |
![]() Jack started spinning vinyl while in High School in the early 70’s. He attended Oakland C.C. and Central Michigan University majoring in Audio Visual Technology. He briefly owned and operated a mobile recording company specializing in audio recordings of weddings (what a concept!) before the advent of video camcorders! He has been a part-time DJ for over 30 years working on word-of-mouth referrals. He and Wife, Sandy decided to start their Mobile DJ company in 2003 and have shown steady growth specializing in personalized Wedding Receptions. He is nearing retirement from his full-time career as a Supervisor with the Road Commission for Oakland County and looks forward to being a full-time DJ! Jack has two adult sons and is currently attending the Second City Training Center. Determined to do things the "right" way, Jack joined the ADJA in 2005 and was anxious to get involved in starting the new local chapter and working with like-minded professionals to raise the bar for all. |
